Boys Pre-Academy Join Prestigious NEAL

Long Island Soccer Club is excited to announce that its Boys Pre-Academy program has been accepted into the Northeast Academy League for the 2024–2025 season. The Northeast Academy League (NEAL) provides its member clubs with a structured, high-level competitive platform, a professional game-day environment, and a collaborative club experience. Member clubs include: Metropolitan Oval, Cedar Stars, New York Soccer Club, BW Gottschee, FC Westchester, and many more top-level clubs across the NYC metropolitan region.

The NEAL also created a strategic relationship with the elite boys MLS Next platform in 2021 that ensures its players and member clubs will be evaluated for potential participation in MLS Next. The relationship between the organizations provides players with increased opportunities and access to MLS Next, which represents the highest level of youth competition for boys in the U.S. and Canada.

“LISC is beyond excited about Northeast Academy League membership,” said Meghan Frey, Executive Director. “It opens up exciting opportunities for next-level collaboration with clubs focused on player development while providing our players with a platform where they can thrive. Through our partnership with NEAL, we hope to continue to elevate the game and nurture talent throughout Long Island.”

Long Island SC will have its Pre-Academy level teams in the U9-U12 (2016-2013) age groups competing in the Northeast Academy League this coming Fall.  In addition, the club has more exciting news about expanding its location across Long Island.
