Ages U7 – U19

Academy East

Boys, U9 to U19

U9-U12: Compete primarily in the EDP North Atlantic League, with the flexibility to play up an age group when appropriate to foster development.

U13 – U14: Participate in the National Academy League (NAL) or EDP North Atlantic League. Players are also offered a pathway to MLS NEXT, providing access to the highest level of youth soccer nationwide.

U15 and older: Compete in either the USYS National League or EDP North Atlantic League and attend multiple showcase events aimed at college recruitment. These players also have a pathway to MLS NEXT.

Academy II

Boys, U13 to U18/19

Academy II teams include players aspiring to the Academy level and collegiate level of play. Teams are part of the National League or EDP regional platform and are led by the top college and youth coaches in the region. The competitive schedule includes both regional and national level tournaments/showcases in addition to a year-round league, including a high school friendly schedule for U15-U19 teams.

Premier

Boys, U13 to U18/19

Premier teams include players aspiring to play at a high youth level and/or collegiate level of play. Teams participate in EDP Regional platforms and are held to a high standard of competition and coaching leadership. The competitive schedule includes both a local and regional calendar of league-play, tournaments, and showcases.

Pre-Academy

Boys, U8 to U12

Pre-Academy teams are formed beginning at U-9 with a focus on individual player development. Each age group will have teams participating in both the Northeast Academy League (NEAL) as well as an EDP league and select tournament play. Weekly training sessions emphasize ball mastery and the foundational components of the game.

Tom Williamson

Academy East Director

Tom Williamson brings a wealth of coaching experience across youth and collegiate levels, with a strong focus on player development in Suffolk County. As Academy East Director at Long Island Soccer Club, Tom plays a pivotal role in shaping the club’s competitive and developmental pathways.

He currently serves as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at St. Joseph’s University – Long Island, where he previously spent several seasons as an assistant coach. During his tenure, he helped guide the team to multiple Skyline Conference Tournament appearances. Prior to that, Tom was an assistant coach at NCAA Division II LIU Post, contributing to a regular-season championship and an NCAA East Regional berth.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Tom holds a BA in Sport Management from Coventry University.
