Jake Hobi, a standout player for Long Island Soccer Club, has once again earned a call-up to the ODP (Olympic Development Program) National Team, further solidifying his reputation as one of the region’s top young soccer talents.
“My genuine love of the game, my coaches, teammates, and family keep me motivated,” Jake shares when asked what drives him to continually push forward in his soccer journey. “I just try to stay calm, not overthink things, rely on what I know, and be confident” when facing challenges, he adds. This mental focus is key to his performance both on and off the field.
Throughout his journey, Jake has learned the importance of dedication and humility. “No matter how good you are, if you don’t work harder than everyone else, you’ll never be better. And always stay humble,” he emphasizes, values that have guided his development as a player.
Looking to the future, Jake has set clear goals: “I aspire to play in MLS, D1 college soccer, and eventually get drafted into the MLS.” His path to achieving these goals remains steadfast: “I am preparing by working hard every time I step on the field and continuing to challenge myself.”
Jake Hobi’s continued success, including his recent call-up to the ODP National Team, reflects the strength of the Long Island Soccer Club’s development program. With his relentless drive and dedication, Jake’s future in soccer is bright, and this is just the beginning of an exciting career.
